I was contacted and asked to be part of a new group on Facebook – the Authentic Empowered Confident Women of YXE – in combination with Red Dress Transformations and SheNative. It’s a group that focuses on creating events that will empower and boost confidence in Saskatoon based women. I thought it would be a great thing to try, and when they asked me and a few other photographers (shout out to Axis Imagery and EliciaMunro Photography) to help the women become models for the day, I was so game.
I photographed (in no particular order) Rochelle Laflamme of Epic Alliance Real Estate Inc., current law student Michelle, Danika Lighting who just passed the bar, Breanna Doucette-Garr who also attends UofS and is an aspiring photographer, Alexandra Jarret of Axis Imagery, and Laryssa Scoot, who is a hairdresser.
These ladies made me laugh and grin all evening long, as we got them dressed to impress and the make up artists worked their magic. It was a great event to be part of, and special thanks to Masala Model & Talent for providing helpful and positive reinforcement and guidance to the women. We all appreciated it.
