Jenny & Terresa // Wedding

La Loche stole my heart this summer. I was invited for two weekends in a row to document love in the North, a job I adore. The first wedding was for Jenny and Terresa, and this wedding was the first legal LGBTQ2S+ wedding in La Loche. I was so humbled to be there. Terresa and I had many texts and emails between the two of us, as she is an organizerrrrrrrr. I knew she had high expectations, she laid them out, and my cousin Bree (who was second shooting for me) and I were excited to capture the moments.

From the beautiful homemade details to the raw honesty between the laughter and the tears, this was a dream day. Jenny and Teressa have so many friends and family members who celebrated their love and their story together, and the day flowed pretty effortlessly – even with the power outage the night before. That was a tense moment, ha.

By the end of the night, we watched the two of them dance, huge smiles on their faces still. Just celebrating their wedding day, hand in hand, surrounded by love. And we smiled with them.
