My brother Tal had called me up a few weeks ago.
“So whatchya doing on November 10th?” he asked.
“What do you want?” I replied. He never calls me unless it’s for money, food or he’s bored.
“Cha. Can’t I just call my loving, talented sister?”
That started a ten minute discussion that can’t be typed out on a business blog (ha) but I agreed to come by with my “fancy” camera and test my skills at this thing called concert photography. Albeit my concert hall was this little bar in the basements of Broadway Street (aka The Fez), but it was still a live band and something I had never done before. He hooked me with the challenge, I’m not gonna lie.

Travertine is a rock band that started in the summer of 2008. Founding members Tallynn Campbell and Chris Millette joined up with Ryan Roy on bass and Conrad Corrigal on Drums. After a few years of Rocking, Chris and Ryan parted ways with the band. Now Ev Nasty is rocking bass and Jared Rediron is the new lead Vocals. The band is starting to rebuild its street credit, playing in Banff, St.Walburg, Prince Albert and Saskatoon. Travertine has been working on originals songs and hopes to have an EP out in the middle of 2013. The dynamic tone and range of Jareds voice gives the band the variety of its sound.
